CARPATHO-RUSYN SOCIETY

 

NJ Chapter’s Annual Meeting, the Election of Officers and a presentation, “The Linden and the Oak: A Rusyn Novel Comes to Life” will be held

 Saturday, November 21, 2009, 2- 4:30 PM
Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, 
285 French Hill Road, Wayne.  

Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

After a brief business meeting and the election of officers, the New Jersey Chapter is pleased to announce that C-RS member Mark Wansa of Albuquerque, New Mexico, the author of the recently published historical fiction novel The Linden and the Oak will discuss the process of writing his epic book.  The book was written over a period of nine years, incorporating family history with research and interviews that were conducted in the United States, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Poland.  Mr. Wansa’s presentation will also feature photographs that illustrate many aspects of his research.  For further information, please send an e-mail to njpres@c-rs.org or call Joyce Barr at (973) 540-0871.

 

Directions: Take Route 46 to the Riverview Drive Exit in the direction of Wayne. Continue on Riverview Drive to the traffic light at Valley Road.  At Valley Road, Riverview Drive becomes French Hill Road.  Proceed straight through the light and continue up the hill for approximately ¼ mile.  Holy Resurrection Church will be on the left.
