“Ja Rusyn: Solving the Riddle of My Carpatho-Rusyn Ancestry”

After a brief business meeting and discussion of New Jersey Chapter issues, we are pleased to announce that C-RS member, Steve Rock will give a presentation describing his decades-long struggle to uncover the roots of his father’s ancestral origins.  He will reveal the single clue that finally enabled him to do so and the incredible truths that were revealed to him in the Rusyn villages where his grandparents were born.  Steve’s story will be accompanied by photos and videos depicting Rusyns villages in Lemkovyna, the 2008 Lemko Vatra in Zdynia and the people who unwittingly gave him the most unexpected and precious gift.

Directions: Take Route 46 to the Riverview Drive Exit in the direction of Wayne. Continue on Riverview Drive to the traffic light at Valley Road. Turn right onto Valley Road and proceed to the second light at Nellis Drive at the Wayne Municipal Complex. Turn left and then right to access the library and parking lot.
